The theory behind DeLockey is “Safer not Smarter”. Smart gun laws being advocated today exempt law enforcement from them. That is because biometrics, electronics, and magnetics have serious flaws. With DeLockey, we have approached a safer firearm with a simple but reliable approach, an ejectable key, and a lock. You can handle a key because it is real. We have not attempted to make a firearm smarter. We believe the weapon holder should be the smart one in the equation. A car is not smart when you install the key. There is another difference with DeLockey. Other devices that are being tried are disablers. Those firearms will only work when the right scenario is present. DeLockey is an enabler. The firearm is active until the key is removed or dislodged. Only then, is it inactive. The market perception between theirs and ours is clear, DeLockey works.
